Julia Spinolo DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, NCC

Julia is a National Certified Counselor and EMDRIA-trained EMDR Therapist, specializing supporting women through trauma (PTSD and C-PTSD), grief, anxiety, and major life changes. Her expertise extends to assisting adults who have experienced Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN), and she is deeply committed to helping healthcare providers, educators, and first responders in their pursuit of well-being.

Julia has over three decades of healthcare experience, including oncology, psychiatry, internal medicine, medical-surgical, and leadership roles. She has also served as a clinical professor for undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. This extensive background provides her therapeutic practice with a holistic perspective, emphasizing the crucial connection between mind, body, and spirit. She integrates evidence-based therapies with supportive modalities, enabling clients to achieve profound healing by addressing the root causes of their distress. Specifically, Julia employs EMDR to empower clients to process trauma and transform negative thought and behavior patterns.

Julia's extensive education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University (1997), followed by a Master of Science in Nursing and ANCC board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Kennesaw State University (2001), and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the Medical College of Georgia (2007). Her career, spanning clinical and academic settings with a focus on primary care and mental health, has provided her with a rich understanding of the healthcare landscape. Julia received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University.

Julia strives to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel secure, understood, and accepted. Julia encourages women to explore their authentic selves on their path of healing and personal growth. She is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive and inclusive care to women from all backgrounds. She looks forward to walking with clients on their healing journey and serving as a dedicated advocate for their well-being.

Julia works under the Direction of Mazi Robinson, MS, LPC, CPCS, NCC (LPC 006005, CPCS 1433) and Supervision of Amy Robbins, LPC, CPCS, ACS. 

An Atlanta native, Julia cherishes time spent with her husband and feline babies. When she's not working, she enjoys a variety of hobbies, including swimming laps at the YMCA, exploring nature, sewing, knitting, cooking, reading, and connecting with family and friends.
